Six Rosenborg-players in the squad against Serbia

National team manager Åge Hareide picked six Rosenborg-players to the squad that will play a friendly match agains Serbia and Montenegro. In addition, goal keeper Espen Johnsen, normally a man for the team, is out with injuries.
Former RBK coach Hareide picks six of his old students for next week's Beograd game. Christer Basma, Vidar Riseth, Ståle Stensaas, Jan Gunnar Solli, Frode Johnsen and Harald Brattbakk.
Solli gets renewed confidence, even though he warms the bench some in Rosenborg. Fredrik Winsnes finds it strange that his competitor at the midfield is picked for the national team, and not him, even if he plays regularily.
"It is difficult to think in those terms about a team mate. I don't think we are competitors for the same position. Likewise I don't feel that I take "his" place in the team. He will have to fight his way into that place. Further, I think RBK coach Ola By Rise is like Åge Hareide - he picks the best team. In this light I see it as a compliment that I'm picked for the starting line in the club matches", Winsnes says to local Trondheim-newspaper Adressa.
