Jan Gunnar Solli was placed on the right wing by Ola By Rise ahead of the match. Afterwards he was reasonably satisfied, even with the 0-0 result.

During the away match against Fredrikstad last Saturday, Solli was pushed forward from his usual running midfielder job to take care of the right wing position. He did well enough, and Ola By and Per Joar Hansen chose to use him in this position from the start in Sunday's Viking match.

After the match, he was reasonably satisfied with his own prestations out there on the wing.
"It was an unusual experience to play a winger - I am not familiar with this position. During the whole match I tried to get in position for good crossers. Some times I succeeded - other times I didn't," Jan Gunnar Solli says to rbkweb.com.
"Anyway I feel that I do contribute, even out there on the wing. All in all I did fairly well."
Is it tempting to play more matches as a right wing?
"Yes, it is. The important thing for me is getting to play. It is always great to be one of the starting 11," Solli concludes.
