"At this time of the year, it is all about landing points. We managed that in the two first games, which both were ok. Today, on the other hand, we did not deliver as we hoped," the RBK coach ascertains in the wardrobe after the game.
It was the attack that failed today.
"Offensively, things are not right for us. Many players are standing still, and at the same time, we often make a pass on the first-moving player. It all becomes very predictable. This is not the football we want to play," Ola By says.
And when the forward game does not work, chances and goals do not come.
"Even I could have managed in the Viking goal tonight! We only put Frode Olsen on two major tests. Our own Espen Johnsen had much more work," the ex-goalkeeper Rise finds.
Ola By sees room for improvement in several areas.
"Something about the movements is not right. We have to take a closer look at players and positions. I would very much like to have another whole training week on this subject, but I will not get that," he admits.
The National team friendly match against Russia is the natural reason. In addition to the six Rosenborg players joining the squad, Ola By Rise himself is going down to Oslo in connection with the UEFA Coaches seminar on which he participates this year.
FORWARD FAILURE: Neither Ola By nor Perry in the background were happy about the offensive part of the gameplay.
