Will continue taking the penalties
By Håvard Lindheim, 6 May 2004, 11:40

Harald Brattbakk has missed two penalty kicks in a row, but the goalhunter has no plans to let others take over the job as penalty kick excecutor.

Sunday, the Lillestrøm keeper Emille Baron saved the feeble attempt from Brattbakk, and during yesterday's cup match against Rissa, the RBK striker failed as well. Keeper Stian Fallrø had an easy score.

"I saw that he shot left of the goalkeeper when he missed against Lillestrøm, so I calculated that he would try the other side now. Besides, I saw he glanced to that corner before he kicked," Fallrø said to Trondheim newspaper Adresseavisa.

Still, after two misses in a row, Brattbakk sees no reason to stop taking the penalties.

"Fredrik (Winsnes) also thinks I should go on. I have used up my misses for this year, so from now on, every penalty is a goal," Harald Brattbakk says to Norwegian broadcaster TV2.

Winsnes, who has usually been a safe choice at the mark, does not want to give his team mate competition for the penalty executor role. The midfielder gave up after two misses against Groningen at Tenerife in January - one during the game and one in the penalty contest afterwards.

After this, Frode Johnsen and Jan Gunnar Solli seems to be the hottest candidates as reserve penalty shooters.
