During last year's top May 16th match versus Sogndal, Rosenborg and the police agreed to let two parts of the tribunes be made into standing areas. This way, one could let in additionally 100 persons on each of these, and the number of spectators were 21 316 even tough the capacity is only 21 116.
Already on Thursday, the last tickets to the Sunday game versus Molde was sold, and now RBK opens for the possibility to allow more spectators than there are seats.
"This time, there will not be more space available at the Nether Rema tribune (the supporter club field), but at the Nether Addressa there will be more graduates than there are number of seats. (Traditionally, the graduates of Trondheim schools show up in large numbers for the May 16th game.) In other words, this part of the tribune is remade into a standing tribune for this game. Probably there will not be more than about 200 above normal capacity," RBK Marketing Manager Endre Storholt tells rbkweb.com.
Usually, the Nether Adressa field is reserved for the away supporters, but the combination graduates and Molde supporters is not neccessarily a good one. As a result, the Molde supporters are moved to Nether Bygger'n, field GB.
"They are well pleased with this. And they have gotten all the tickets they wanted," Storholt finishes.
PS! Want to go to the game, but have no tickets? Uncollected tickets will be put out for sale at Lerkendal from noon Sunday.
