Only Basma and Solli against Wales

The second round games of the Norwegian Championship collides with a friendly match between Norway and Wales. As a result, Rosenborg coach Ola By Rise has made a special agreement with National team manager Åge Hareide.
"Originally, the Norway - Wales game is a game for the professionals abroad," NFF Head of Informations Roger Solheim says to rbkweb.com.
But Åge Hareide will have to pick a few players from the Tippeliga to fill up the squad, details of which is released Tuesday May 18th. This can be bad news for several Tippeliga sides that plays cup matches Wednesday May 26th - the day before the National team friendly.
Clubs that have to let two or more players off to play for the National team, has a right to reschedule their cup game, but for Rosenborg this is impossible due to a tight match schedule in May/June. Several games are already moved due to the work with a new grass layer at Lerkendal midsummer.
This means that RBK have to send out a reduced team against Levanger in the 2nd round match. Ola By Rise has however reached an agreement. Against Russia, six Rosenborg players were picked for the National team squad; this time, only Christer Basma and Jan Gunnar Solli will travel down to Oslo.
"We have done a deal with Åge, that wants to use Jan Gunnar and Christer for this game - and them only. We accept this, and play the cup game against Levanger without these two. But this is a preliminary deal which can be changed should injuries occur," By Rise ascertains to rbkweb.com.
