Decision for Blixt on Monday
By Håvard Lindheim, 23 July 2004, 11:30

Lars Blixt impressed during his stay at Swedish AIK. Monday, the Swedes will decide wether they go for the right back, who is allowed to leave Rosenborg.

AIK: - Blixt is good (22.07.2004)

AIK Assistant coach Patric Englund is satisfied with Blixt's performance during his Stockholm stay.

"He proved to be a fast, position-aware, playing right back, and has through his years in Rosenborg evolved into a fully professional football player," Englund says to eastern Norway daily Østlendingen.

"I saw him in action at La Manga some years ago. It is little doubt that he has improved since then," Patrick Englund states.

The steady lad from Hedmark, Norway, is more sober, and feels that he did not get to show it all during the days in the Swedish capital:

"I am medium pleased. There is no reason to be ashamed of myself, but I was not outstanding," Blixt, that is back in Trondheim, feels.

Monday, AIK will decide wether Blixt is the right man to replace Jimmy Tamandi, who is ready for Italian Series B club Salernitana. The 27-year old is interested in playing in Sweden. He has five months left of his contract, but at Rosenborg HQ The Hut they are positive to let him go.

"They will let me go if I get this opportunity. Of that I feel pretty sure," Lars Blixt concludes.
