"Overwhelming reception"
By Håvard Lindheim, 26 August 2004, 09:42

The Trønders (inhabitants of the Trøndelag region) knew what they had to do when the chartered airplane from Tel-Aviv landed at Trondheim airport Værnes. Hundreds of supporters greeted the Rosenborg heroes.

Some minutes late, flight BU1292 from Tel Aviv airport Ben Gurion landed at Værnes at 5.30 pm yesterday. Larger parts of the arrival hall was filled by cheering RBK supporters clad in black and white.

"This was an overwhelming reception," a somewhat surprised Ola By Rise said to rbkweb.com.

"We had heard rumours that some might meet us here at Værnes, but I hadn't dreamed of anything like this. It might have something to do with the match ending like it did?," the RBK boss smiled.

Rosenborg celebrated tonight, but now, new challenges await.

"We will find time to watch the Champions League draw tomorrow, but we have to work with the Molde game as well. It would have been stupid to go there without preparing ourselves," Ola By ends.

Harald Brattbakk cheers with the fans.

Back colleagues Basma and Dorsin happy and satisfied after five and a half hours on the plane.

Daniel Braaten receives many admiring stares.

Ultras Nidaros are present too.

A hint: Rosenborg Ballklub is written with just one b at the end!
