Helstad: "RBK better than Austria Wien"

Thorstein Helstad is in no doubt: his new club is better than the previous.
"Rosenborg is quite definitely a better team than Austria Wien. Down there, it also was many good individual players, but as team they were not so good. Here, we are very good as a team and, on top of that, we have at least as many good individuals, so the total is much better. It is easy to note on the intensity during the training sessions," Helstad tells rbkweb.com.
Helstad has for a while been quited in the media that he wanted to go to RBK, and readily admits that this was a transfer that he had wanted for quite some time.
"I wasn't very happy down there, and early on I tought that if a possibility showed itself in Trondheim, I would very much like to go here. Then the offer came, and I am delighted that it went in order," Helstad says, and confirms that SK Brann Bergen also could have been interesting.
"I spoke to Brann, but they didn't show any great interest, and they wanted to go for Sæternes instead - which was fine since I wanted to go to Rosenborg anyway, and I am happy that things turned out like they did," a happy newcommer concludes.
Helstad sees himself as both a centre forward and a wingman, and has experience in both these roles from earlier - which could make him ready for a debut in the match against Vålerenga on Saturday.
