Earlier this week it almost looked as if Alexander Ødegaard was ready for Brann. Now, Rosenborg seems to pass the westerners in the finish and snatch the Sogndal wingman from under their nose.

Brann hasn't yet started negotiations with Sogndal. RBK, on the other hand, has.

"Rosenborg is the only club with which we actually talk right now. And as a result, they are also the club we have the most progress with in the Ødegaard case," Sogndal Sports Director Svein Bakke says to Western Norway daily Bergens Tidende.

The 1st division club probably want around €1.2 million for the International.

Eggen piques the interest, Ødegaard thinks
Ødegaard himself is still tempted by Rosenborg. And the chance of picking RBK instead of Brann didn't diminish with the news of Eggen returning.

"Nils Arne Eggen is a great coach. The fact that he has returned is very interesting," Ødegaard says to Bergens Tidende.

The newspapers in Bergen takes it for granted that the Sogndal players chooses Brann. That is, however, far from certain.

"I don't even know if I will stay in Norway. Maybe I'll go abroad as well, but preferably to a club that fights in the top of their league. A place with chances of winning something," Ødegaard says.

Several clubs at home and abroad has the westerner under observation, but so far, only three Norwegian clubs have contacted Sogndal.

"Rosenborg has signalled interest for a while, and in addition to Brann, also Lillestrøm have contacted us about Alexander Ødegaard. Brøndby is so far only rumours to us," Sports Director Svein Bakke says.
