Solli misses last leg
By Håvard Lindheim, 3 December 2004, 12:46

Jan Gunnar Solli has developed a complication on his groin injury and will therefore miss the last two games of the year, against Esbjerg of Denmark and Arsenal.

Solli, who is a native of Telemark in the south of Norway, received a green bill of health ahead of last week’s Panathinaikos game and completed the full 90 minutes. Now however, the left side of the groin has yet again gone bad. It has already been decided that he will miss Thursday’s Royal League clash in Jutland, Denmark, and will probably also miss the final game before Christmas, in London.

“There’s such a thing as ”Listening to your body”, and that’s exactly what I must do now,” Jan Gunnar Solli writes in his home page.

Therefore, he will be left in Trondheim, as his teammates board the flight for Denmark on Wednesday.

“I’ll stay at home and let our excellent medical support team take care of me,” Solli smiles.
