Home debut for Rønningen

A sick Espen Johnsen had to give in at half time against Esbjerg. And so, Ivar Rønningen got his home debut at Lerkendal.
The reserve goalkeeper made his RBK debut in the previous match against Esbjerg, and this afternoon he got another chance against the Danes when a flu-sick Johnsen threw in the towel.
"It was fun to make my debut at Lerkendal, and a win tasted sweet in my first home match," a pleased Ivar Rønningen tells rbkweb.com.
The previous SK Brann Bergen keeper had a quiet day.
"Right. Esbjerg didn't create much. But still, they came through once. I was there and cleared it, anyway," Rønningen smiles.
The three points did almost secure Rosenborg further play in the Royal League.
"Yes, we used our first match ball well. Djurgården are out after loosing against Vålerenga today, and now only Esbjerg can ruin things for us. I don't see that happening," Ivar Rønningen finishes.
