Wants to build a scouting network
By Håvard Lindheim, 19 August 2005, 13:16

While clubs like Brann and Viking have emplyed talent scouts for the past few years, the Rosenborg direction have chosen to trust their own knowledge. This is about to change.

"We don't need a network of scouts. Nor can we afford it. Agents a-plenty exists to tip us off all the time. The telephone rings all the time, to inform us about who's available," Rune Bratseth has earlier told rosenborg.info.

Now, the Sports Director will have to make room for such work in the budgets after all. Per-Mathias Høgmo thinks that in the years to come, it will be vital for RBK to have full clarity in the field of possible reinforcements.

"Rosenborg needs a good network in the world of football. When a player is available, or when a talent shows himself, we need to know. We must get the right players, and as a result we must set aside time and resources to build relations with the world around us," Høgmo tells local Trondheim daily Adresseavisen.
