While Rosenborg lost 0-2 to Real Madrid, Lyon crushed Olympiakos 4-1. RBK are therefore almost certain to secure the 3rd spot in group F, and with that qualifying for the 3rd round of the UEFA Cup.

"Now everything is about bringing the UEFA Cup spot back home," Rosenborg coach Per-Mathias Høgmo says.

A win or draw against Olympiakos 23 November will remove any doubt, as the Greeks then will be defeated in the internal "heads up".

Høgmo thinks RBK will suceed.

"We shall be playing in the UEFA Cup in February. We should start clearing the pitch for snow!" he states.

The 3rd and the 4th rounds of the UEFA Cup are drawn 16 December. The 3rd round matches will be played 15/16 and 23 February 2006
