Ham-Kam have since early November tried to buy the goalkeeper, who hasn't been allowed much playing time. Now the transfer is supposedly in order.
"Things are clearing up. Ivar will as a result not join the squad for our trip to the Canary Isles on Saturday," Per-Mathias Høgmo tells rosenborg.info.
The clubs do not wish to comment upon the transfer fee, but it is likely that Ham-Kam will pay somewhere between €62,000 and €123,000 for Rønningen, who had a price tag of €92,000 when he was bought from Brann during the summer of 2004.
Rosenborg already have bought Lars Hirschfeld as a replacement. In addition, Alexander Lund Hansen is back on Lerkendal after being on loan to Fredrikstad FK for 18 months. He will be put down as second goalkeeper for the UEFA cup games, as Hirschfeld can't play for RBK in this tournament since he has already played for Tromsø in the same cup this season.
