Rosenborg have for several years been looking for a new central midfielder. Seyi Olofinjana might be the one.

The former Brann hero has not had much success in Wolverhampton this season, and he has only gotten to play six of 28 league matches so far. As a result, he wants to leave the club.

Brann was, for a period, interested, but they got scared off both by the transfer fee - mentioned to be between €1.1 and €1.35 million - and the player's wage demands. Now, Rosenborg have supposedly joined the battle of signing Seyi Olofinjana, writes local Bergen daily Bergensavisen.

"We are not commenting this or any other rumour," Per-Mathias simply states.

Still, "Olof" is a man that should fit well into RBK. All since Bent Skammelsrud ended his carreer in autumn 2002, RBK has struggled to find a full blooded successor. Ørjan Berg has at times been good in the central position, but neither his date of birth nor his history of injuries are happy readinga nowadays.

As well, Ståle Solbakken and FC Køpenhavn is rumoured to be interested in the Nigerian international, sold from Brann for €2.45 million in summer 2004.
