"He seems like a very promising player. He has good pace, good physique and good technical skills. Now we have to see what we conclude after some days' training," Rosenborg coach Per-Mathias Høgmo tells local Trondheim daily Adresseavisen.
The 24-year-old striker plays at the top level in Morocco, but is born and raised in the Ivory coast. A few years ago he was offered a place in the national team of Burkina Faso, the native country of his grandparents. He accepted the offer, and has so far played seven matches.
Now he wish to play in Europe, and talent scout Stig Torbjørnsen therefore arranged a trial at Rosenborg. The African hopes he can convince Rosenborg to buy him.
"This is what I want to, no doubt. In Africa we know little about Norwegian football, but I have watched many of Rosenborg's matches in the Champions League. They play a type of football I think suits me well," Yssouf Kone says.
