The reserves from RBK ran over a weak away team, but the most positive thing still was that Ørjan Berg was back on the field after four months of injuries.
The midfield veteran hasn't been playing since the Champions League match against Lyon on 28 September, due to an operation in the left ancle. Now, he got to play the last part of the second half in the Abrahallen.
"It felt good to get Ørjan back into the game," Per-Mathias Høgmo smiled after the game.
The RBK coach had to do without a number of players: Frode Johnsen and Alexander Lund Hansen both were struck with flu; Espen Johnsen is in USA with the International team, while Thorstein Helstad (foot), Harald Brattbakk (stretch), Per Ciljan Skjelbred (leg), Daniel Braaten (groin), Jan Gunnar Solli (groin) and Robbie Russell (knee) all were injured. In addition, Bjørn Tore Kvarme was rested.
Luckily, the reserves took the job seriously, and led by Karim Essediri and Alexander Tettey, Rosenborg went through a match which at times was pretty good. Glimt, tough, didn't have a good day.
"We didn't let in any goals, and we created good attacks due to the great defensive play. In all, we saw plenty of good attacking football, even tough the quality varied," Høgmo stated.
