Vålerenga - Rosenborg 0-0

0-0 was an okay result in a game full of physichal duels, but lacking goal scoring chances.
"It was an entertaining game that ended 0-0, where both teams played well. Vålerenga did well in the beginning of both the halves, but both times we got back into the game and put pressure on them. Having to make two substitutes in the first half made things a bit hard for us. It did not help our situation," Per-Mathias Høgmo told TV2.
This time it was Miika Koppinen and Daniel Braaten who had to leave the pitch. It was already clear before the game that Bjørn Tore Kvarme would not be able to play due to the knee-injury he got against Start last round. Therefore Frode Johnsen had to play in defense - where he performed well.
The first 45 minutes were rather boring. Morten Berre got an early chance where he was completely alone with Lars Hirschfeld, but the home team didn't create anything else before half time. One decent shot from Essediri was the only thing RBK brought to the game.
After the pause VIF opened with hitting the bars twice. At first Ardian Gashi shot the bar after a bad ballhandling from the RBK-keeper, and after that Christian Grindheim shot a free kick in the goalpost.
But RBK did well and took over the game after awhile. Steffen Iversen should have scored when he was alone with Arni Gautur Arason, while Per Ciljan Skjelbred was not able to reach the ball when it was lying still in front of the goal.
Vålerenga started defending heavily during the second half something which affected the game. Rosenborg were not able to get through their defense much due to lacking precision in their passing.
And so it ended 0-0.
"All things considered an okay game, but we lack precision in our attacking play," Høgmo concluded.
