(The Norwegian Cup) For the first time since 1989, RBK had to concede a goal in the first round of the Norwegian Championship. Still, one can't say that the victory was ever threatened ...

Kvik's comfort goal was made by Frode Guin when the score said 0-8. 17 years ago, Frode Knutsen made the last first-round score when Ranheim lost 1-16.
As expected, RBK didn't face much of a competition in the 3rd divition team, but at times they were arrogant and downright bad in front of the goal. Alexander Tettey, Steffen Iversen and Øyvind Storflor were, for instance, all sent alone with the keeper without managing to score.
Per Ciljan Skjelbred got the honour of opening the account home at Lade after a nice raid. After that, Frode Johnsen thanked for the chance of playing centre forward by making a hat trick in ten minutes.
Just before half time, he was however sent off.
"He held me, and I stick my foot out. Still, a hopeless red card," Johnsen felt.
Luckily for RBK and the player himself, he will only have to miss the second round of the cup.
Naturally, Rosenborg continued making chances in the second half as well, but yet again, the presision often was lousy. Iversen did however make it, finally, and also Solli, Storflor and Russell could celebrate a score.
"On Wednesdays, we usually play 11 on 11 on the training field, and this was a good substitute for that. We saw many good goals, but the red card was somewhat bad," Per-Mathias Høgmo stated.
PS! Bjørn Tore Kvarme and Christer Basma were saved, while Miika Koppinen, Roar Strand, Michael Jamtfall, Yssouf Kone and Daniel Braaten all were injured.
