Today the defender signed a three year contract with the Athens club, Swedish paper Göteborgs-Posten told. He will go for free from Austria Wien, where he was put on the transfer list together with the likes of Sigurd Rushfeldt after declining a new offer involving much less pay.
Rosenborg, Malmö FF, Elfsborg, French Nantes and Danish Aalborg were among the clubs Antonsson turned down.
Therefore the search for defenders continues for RBK. Earlier this year Karl Svensson was considered, but the Swedish national team player was sold from Göteborg to Glasgow Rangers right before the WC began.
