Aalborg-bid on Helstad

Fredrik Winsnes has been a great success for Aalborg, who now wishes to buy yet another Rosenborg player: Thorstein Helstad.
Last year's RBK top scorer has had a nightmare-ish season so far. In advance, he was appointed as the team's regular centre forward, but already in January the misfortune started - with an injury in the left foot. He lost both of the UEFA cup games against Zenit.
In the meantime, strikers Steffen Iversen and Yssouf Kone were bought, and Helstad was placed on the bench when he recovered. Mid-May he was injured again, and lost the remains of the spring season due to the following meniscus related surgery.
Now, the attacker might be leaving Lerkendal. According to Danish daily Ekstra Bladet, the Jylland club has placed a €490.000 bid on Helstad.
"I have no comments to make on this name. But we are of course aware of what players for instance Rosenborg seems to have in surplus," AaB Sports Director Lynge Jacobsen says.
On a related note, rumours in Denmark say that RBK are interested in Aalborg's talented midfielder Rasmus Würtz (22).
