Steffen Mathisen

Place of birth: Narvik

The trio were all part of the team that won the Norwegian U-19 cup last year, and have been part of the solid base for RBK's reserve team the past few years. Today, they were all promoted, writes rbk.no.

Skjølsvik and Nordvik made their debut on the first team as early as in January 2004 in the friendly against Skeid, while Steffen Mathisen (pictured) got his first chance in the cup game against Orkla last year. He also participated on the La Manga training camp this February.

This season, both Skjølsvik and Mathisen have been unused reserved on the first team, against Lyn and HamKam, respectively.

For the moment it might look like Rosenborg could have the most use for the services of central defender / left back Andreas Nordvik and central defender Steffen Mathisen, but Aksel Skjølsvik has impressed after being re-educated from central forward to running midfielder this spring. The last mentioned was on trial in Molde this May, but thankfully chooses to stay in the right club.

PS! Skjølsvik and Nordvik graduated from college in May, and now becomes full-time footballers, while Mathisen still has one year left.
