"Untenable situation"
By Håvard Lindheim, 28 July 2006, 08:47

Former Rosenborg profile Mini Jakobsen thinks it would be best if Per-Mathias Høgmo steps down.

Høgmo on sickness leave till October (27/07/06)

"First and foremost I would like to say that it is very sad for Per-Mathias that he has gotten ill. But when that is said, it is, from my point of view, completely wrong if he now is off for two months, and then returns as Rosenborg coach. That is a situation the club can't live with," Mini tells Norwegian sports site FXT.no.

You are saying that Høgmo shouldn't come back?

"At least not as the head coach, no."

But hasn't he, at least, started many positive processes in the club?

"Yes, he has done quite a number of good things. But that is off the field. He hasn't been adding value to the actual play on the grass. As a football team, he hasn't given Rosenborg anything," thinks the former supporters' favourite.
