"They were outclassed!"
By Thomas Myren, 31 July 2006, 10:22

(Rosenborg - Lillestrøm 3-1) Micke Dorsin was in no doubt the 3 points were well deserved.

It was all smiles and happiness on the players faces after the 3-1 win against rivals Lillestrøm. Left back Dorsin was well pleased with Rosenborg’s performance throughout.

"I think the first half is an even affair, though with a slight advantage for us. In the second half we're rolling up chance after chance, moving play out wide and winning deservedly. To be honest I think we at times outplayed Lillestrøm," says a pleased Dorsin, who thinks it was a show of class to get the third goal in stead of contributing to total chaos in the dying minutes of the match.

"When you're 2-1 up and things get a little heated out there towards the end, wrapping the whole thing up nicely is a show of class. We show great strength for the 3-1 goal. We play calmly through midfield as opposed to booting it up field," states the back who felt he was in complete control of his opponent throughout the match.

Club captain Roar Strand was also pleased after the match and emphasized efficiency as the deciding difference.

"We've played well earlier this season as well without having the necessary 'edge' front of goal. Today we play well, score on several of our chances and that makes us hard to beat," he states.

He is also happy about youngster Michael Jamtfall's entry to the first team.

"It's great about Michael Jamtfall. I've known him since he was 2-3 years old, when he would come along to various training camps with his dad Jørn. It is great that the club is able to produce such young, talented players," Strand smiles.

Strand himself opened the scoring against Lillestrøm in the second half.

Next up is Vålerenga come next weekend and Micke Dorsin is looking forward to it.

"We're looking ahead now. This was a sweet victory and something to carry with us. Vålerenga have been struggling lately and we're hoping to make it even harder for them," Dorsin says in closing in his talk with Rosenborg Web, and at the same time thanks the fans for their good support throughout the match.
