Molde - Rosenborg 0-2

Two years without a victory against Molde has been two years too many. Yesterday, at last, the record was broken.
As in the match in August 2004, Daniel Braaten was in focus. The Oslo lad is seriously starting to get into shape after having had a troublesome leg for most of the spring season, and now he was constantly worrying the Molde defence.
The relegation threatened home team still managed to keep up for a long time, and not until close to the break Rosenborg grabbed the lead: Braaten ran from the centre line, cut into the field, and hammered the ball up in the far corner with a hard shot from the left foot.
"It was nice to score again, it's been a while," the man of the match smiled to Norwegian broadcaster TV2.
During the second half, RBK ran the game, but struggled in making chances. Molde got their chances to equalize, but instead, Yssouf Kone stole the ball from Petter Christian Singsaas and shot it in by the post.
"We should have ended this game sooner, because that certainly was possible. The efforts shown were fair; the result was great," Knut Tørum stated.
Rosenborg's assistant and now stand-in main coach has lead Rosenborg to three straight wins, and thanks to regular point losses by Brann and Lillestrøm, RBK suddenly holds the second place in the league. Two stars above the club crest in 2007 is definitely a possibility!
