Høgmo lets Tørum be in charge

Per-Mathias Høgmo is back as head coach today Tuesday, but opts to let his two assistants continue the marvellous job they have done so far.
"It is very important for me to find a good solution. I have been out for nine weeks, and it is only four games left. Seen in this light it is natural that Knut and Trond continue to have the responsibility for matches and training sessions for the remaining games," Høgmo tells Norwegian broadcaster TV2.
Players who have asked for "no changes" thereby get it their way.
"Really, it was a simple decision to take. And I took it quite early in the process, when I saw that this would be the best for all parties involved. For me, too; it makes for a softer transition to the full-time job situation."
Instead of training the team, he'll plan the participation in the Royal League tournament, and next season as well. Then he'll concentrate upon his role as a football coach. The focus on developing the organization, and partially stepping in as Sports Director when Rune Bratseth had his leave, became too much.
"My area of responsibility ended up being far too wide, with too many tasks. I have to narrow my focus, that's certainly something I have learned now," Høgmo says, feeling in good shape after his sick leave.
"It is a paradox, though. I took my degree on 'mental exhaustion'. At the end, I saw what was going to happen, but didn't manage to avoid it," he ends.
