Originally, he was supposed to be back early October after two months of sickness leave for mental exhaustion, but, as known, chose to let assistant Knut Tørum be in charge for the remaining four league games.
But in a week and a half, he'll again lead the team in matches and training sessions.
"Yes, then we're back on track," Høgmo tells TV-adressa.
The visual comeback is likely to happen on November 9th. Originally, the Royal League matches before Christmas are placed on the weekends, but Rosenborg wishes to play on Thursdays. The first match is likely to be home against Brann.
"I am convinced that the clubs will enter this tournament highly motivated. We see the signals in Denmark and Sweden, and in Norway as well it is a fight for the top four positions in the league," Høgmo says.
RBK has been positive towards the Scandinavian winter tournament all along, and wants to reach the final match in March. Still, Høgmo might let players like Alexander Lund Hansen, Yssouf Kone, Karim Essediri, Michael Jamtfall, Jahmir Hyka and Ståle Stensaas get to play.
"It is important for us to go on with the strategy that has given us success, but we have younger players on their way as well. It's natural that a player like Michael Jamtfall gets more matches, but the base of the team will be kept," Per-Mathias Høgmo ascertains to Norwegian broadcaster TV2.
