Marek Sapara was tried as the central defensive midfield against HamKam in the league in October, but only got one half, as he didn't do very well. Now he'll get a new chance against Bodø/Glimt, in that role that has been such a problem for Rosenborg to fill since Bent Skammelsrud retired.



The Slovak international was originally bought to play on the central midfield, but had a brilliant match as attacking side midfielder in his debut against Sandefjord, when Alexander Tettey was out due to yellow cards. An as a result, Sapara stayed on the left side of the midfield for the rest of the golden autumn.

As the newly signed Didier Konan and Abdoulrazack Traore both are best as attacking side midfielders as well, Rosenborg still haven't found that central man. Vidar Riseth and Alexander Tettey are the ones most likely to occupy that spot this season, but on Friday, Marek sapara again gets the chance.

"We now know what Sapi can do as an attacking side midfielder, and now we want to take a new look at him in the central position. For now, it's for one match, and we'll see how he does. It will be fun to watch Sapi together with the two youngsters in the middle," Trond Henriksen tells rosenborg.info.

Sapara gets Per Ciljan Skjelbred and Alexander Tettey on his sides against Glimt. And at the same time, Mikael Dorsin and Jan Gunnar Solli are back from their injuries.

The rest of the team is still plagued with illness and injuries.

"We have quite some players that we chose not to use, they being only half well. A full match is too early for these," Henriksen tells, and gives us the list:
