Braaten wants to leave

Daniel Braaten has decided not to extend his contract. He can therefore leave Rosenborg for free after the upcoming season.
"It is too bad for us that he is leaving. He has been an important player for us, but we have to listen to his wishes. Even if Daniel was to sign a new contract, the club would not try to hinder a transfer if an exciting offer popped up," Rune Bratseth told rbk.no.
The 24 year-old wants to go to a foreign club, and is supposedly not interested in joining one of Rosenborg's Norwegian competitors.
Braaten is just one of eight players whose contract expires after 2007. Per Ciljan Skjelbred, Mikael Dorsin and Miika Koppinen are all in talks with RBK, while Rosenborg wants to wait to decide if Christer Basma, Bjørn Tore Kvarme and Ståle Stensaas will be offered new contracts. Roar Strand is supposed to retire after this season.
