According to Expressen, Swedish Premiership side GIF Sundsvall has accepted a bid in the region of 5 million SEK, or around £415.000 GBP.
Lustig is also said to have agreed to a contract running until the end of the 2011 season. All involved parties are thus in agreement, and mere details remain before the transfer goes through.
Rosenborg have followed the Swedish full back's career for the two years - indeed, he was one of the hottest transfer candidates during autumn 2006, when Fredrik Stoor was eventually bought from Hammarby. In an interesting turn of events Lustig now looks set to replace the selfsame Stoor, who will join up with the Fulham squad over the weekend.
"Mikael is one of Sweden's most promising side back talents. Currently he plays best in the offensive phases of play. He looks good both on and off the ball, is well known for his offensive raids and also has a precise foot for cross balls," Sundsvall coach and former RBK head coach Per Joar Hansen said to Stavanger Aftenblad when Viking showed an interest for Lustig earlier this year.
Dutch side Twente and Danish side Nordsjælland have both been touted as possible bidders for Mikael Lustig during the summer, but it is not known whether either club made a bid.
