Skarsfjord on spying mission

Rune Skarsfjord will only barely have time to enjoy the summer in Trøndelag before taking off from Trondheim Airport Værnes again.
Thursday afternoon, Rosenborg returned from Moldova, but as soon as Friday, another trip awaits 3rd coach Skarsfjord. This time he travels to Israel, where he will observe Wednesday's opponent in the qualifications to the Champions League, Maccabi Haifa.
"As the league in Israel has not started yet, we can't observe Haifa in a real match. Instead, I will see them in a friendly against a local team at Saturday," says Rune Skarsfjord to rbkweb.com.
"We will however try to get some video tapes of earlier Maccabi games. Even tough last season is history now, it will give us coaches hints as to what awaits us," thinks "Skars".
In two and a half weeks, the team is travelling to the rather un-quiet Middle East.
"The Foreign Departement had no second toughts about sending us to Moldova and the splinter republic Transdnistria. They do not recommend Norwegians to travel to Israel, tough," Ola By Rise ascertains.
However, RBK must follow whatever UEFA decides.
"If UEFA says it's safe, then it's safe. We hear what the Departement says, but they are not the ones to decide this," Rosenborg Managing Director Nils Skutle admits.
Maccabi Haifa is on a side note not allowed to play their home match at their own home grounds, Kiryat Eliezer. Most likely they will place the second game to the National stadium, Ramat-Gan (capacity 42 000) in Tel-Aviv. The decision is to be made Tuesday at latest.
