"A fair start"

Ørjan Berg thinks Rosenborg will manage to qualify for the Champions League.
Many are worried prior to the away leg in Israel in two weeks' time, since RBK only brings a very small lead to Tel-Aviv. Ørjan Berg, however, finds no reason to be a pessimist.
"This isn't the first time we bring a narrow lead from the home match," says Berg to rbkweb.com, and thinks on both the 1-0 lead from the first leg of the Brøndby duel in 2002 and the 0-0 result in front of the Red Star battle last year.
"We have managed well in away games, even tough the result from Lerkendal hasn't always been great. I think we have a quite OK result prior to the Israel game," Ørjan Berg states.
"We were the best" Still, the midfield veteran is somewhat irritated that Rosenborg couldn't grab hold of a greater lead before the away leg against Maccabi Haifa.
"We were the best, and we win 2-1. But, that said, we should have scored at least another goal, regarding our chances," Berg feels.
Another northerner in the RBK dressing room, 3rd coach Rune Skarsfjord, thinks Rosenborg will survive the second leg. He liked what he saw at Lerkendal Wednesday night.
"Espen Johnsen-saves" "We play a great match, and had a wonderful start where we completely crunched Haifa. Unluckily the game turns towards the end of the first half, and we give them opportunities to make dangerous counter attacks - which also lead to a goal against," Skarsfjord ascertains.
"In the second half we run the game, in my opinion, and merely feverish saves - what we call "Espen Johnsen-saves" - keeps Haifa into the game," Rune Skarsfjord states.
Before game start it was mentioned that Rosenborg might not have the best knowledge of the opponent. Still, chief analyst Skarsfjord & Co managed to give a clear picture of Maccabi Haifa.
"They played exactly like we expected. The team and the ones on the pitch were also identical with what information we had beforehand," finishes "Skars".
