"He got an offer from Everton, but has now decided to go for Rosenborg," the player's advisor Christian Eidem confirms to Norwegian daily VG.
The parties are supposedly in agreement upon a three year contract, and it is expected that Iversen signs for RBK on Monday.
The 29-year old, who didn't want to prolong his Vålerenga contract last autumn, has long been a hot name in Brakka (Rosenborg HQ). But it wasn't until Per-Mathias Høgmo went to London on Sunday, to have private talks with Iversen, that things picked up speed.
Høgmo, the RBK coach, admires the headstrong centre forward, and managed to talk him into moving back to Trondheim nine years after he was sold to Tottenham for €2.8 million.
Iversen will not be able to play in the UEFA cup, as that deadline expired on 31 January. In other words, the Lerkendal audience will have to wait until 17 April to see Iversen in action in a mandatory game - the first league home game of the year, against Start.
