It was the 'same old story of this season when yvind Gjerde gave Molde the lead with a spectacular bicycle-kick midway through the first half.
"We did well the first ten minutes of the match, but then we stopped working as a team. We lost the aggressiveness and the rhythm," Strand said.
The first half must nevertheless be characterized as an even one, and it got an dramatic end when Vegard Forren, as the last defender, brought down Yssouf Kon. Forren was correctly sent off, and Sapara could have scored from the following free-kick, but Gjerde cleared it off the line.
"The red card gave us some extra energy, yet we still didnt manage to attack from out wide. When we finally did, we scored immediately," Henriksen said.
Steffen Iversen scored the equalizer when he elegantly got the ball passed the Molde goalkeeper after being sent through by a clever lob from Skjelbred. Rosenborg chased the second goal, but struggled to get a good flow in their play.
"They pulled down deep and that made it more difficult for us. They even created some good opportunities from free-kicks and corners, but eventually they get tired and make mistakes," Skjelbred said.
The final part of the second half was very entertaining. First Iversen got his second, but it was wrongly ruled out for offside. Next, Alejandro Lago cleared a ball off the line using his chest.
Super-sub Roar Strand might have scored with his first touch on the ball, but his long range effort hit the inside of post. Seven minutes before full time, however, his diving header from a Storflor cross found its way into the net.
"It was amazing. yvind (Storflor) had a great cross to Roar, who scored," Skjelbred said.
That was a perfect end of Trond Henriksens days as the head coach, as Erik Hamrn takes charge on Monday.
