RBK refuse to comment on the link to the Ghanaian international. According to TV2, however, negotiations between Rosenborg and Start have been successful, and Annan has already agreed upon the terms of his personal contract, leaving only the medical staff's green light before he can be presented as a Rosenborg player.
Annan has been on loan from Start to title chasers Stabæk, and has recently attracted serious interest from both Spanish side Racing Santander and English Premiership club Blackburn Rovers. Stabæk were reportedly keen on making Annan's stay permanent, but didn't have the funds available. The transfer sum is expected to be in the region of 10-13 million NOK.
Because Annan played in Stabæk's UEFA qualifiers against Rennes, he will be ineligible to play UEFA Cup matches for Rosenborg this season.
